The benefits of journaling

Journaling start everyday from a great headspace by downloading 3 pages of thoughts every morning … or keeping a daily journal of positive thoughts and actions. In the book The Artists Way – author Julia Cameron refers to this journaling as ‘Morning Pages’ and this daily activity serves as creative recovery. It is meant to put all of your thoughts that are running around in your head on paper, so they aren’t cluttering your judgement and this enables you to focus on your day.

Each day on our tour we will take 15 -30 minutes or more to write in your Moroccan Creative Chill journal – if you want to ! Clear your mind in readiness for an awesome day of adventures or finish the day by pasting postcards ; thoughts or sketches in your journal to reflect the days activities !

Make it colourful and visual or serious thoughts and text . It’s your journal – private for your eyes only!

Morning Pages are one of these things that sound so simple that you don’t think they could ever work for you. One of the things that I have realized in life is that many of the best things are really simple but our complicated minds want to tell us they won’t work for us. 

In the 241 days since I started doing Morning Pages, I have missed doing them twice. On both of those days, I was a bit more anxious, my thoughts were muddled and I just felt off.

Morning Pages have become an integral part of my Daily Routine and ultimately have made me a better person
